This coating is many times stronger than the standard factory scratch coat and comes on both sides of the lenses...where the factory coating is only on the front of the lens. About 40% of scratches occur on the back of lenses, so this is a major advancement in scratch resistant technology (It is available with VSP for their standard charge).
